The following documents are required while applying for renewal of a Machine Readable Passport through an online passport service provided that his/ her current passport is expiring within a period of twelve (12) Months :

  • Color scanned copies of valid CNIC or NICOP or Smart CNIC or NICOP on both sides
  • Color scanned copies of existing Passport (The first two pages and one random page asked by the system).
  • Color scanned copy of Valid Visa/ Aqama/ Residence Permit/ Asylum card/ Other Nationality Passport

Go to the Official Pakistani Passport Renewal website and follow the instruction as follows:

  1. Click on the Get Started button.
  2. Register your account :
    • In case you are within Pakistan, an SMS and email code will be sent to you for registration.
    • In case you are abroad all required codes will be sent via email only.
  3. Create an application for the Renewal of your machine-readable passport and provide details for your application.
  4. Provide your address for machine-readable passport delivery.
  5. Pay Fee through a Credit Card/Debit Card.
  6. Provide the required personal details.
  7. Provide your present and permanent addresses.
  8. Upload your photograph.
  9. Upload the supporting documents required by the application.
  10. Download the form, and capture the 4 fingerprints asked by the system.

Pakistani Passport Renewal For Minors (Less than 18 Years)

The following documents are pre-requisite for the issuance of passports to minors below 18 years:-

If the applicant is an employee of the Government of Pakistan, the following documents will be required:-

  • Color scanned copies of valid CNIC or NICOP or Smart CNIC or NICOP on both sides
  • Applicant must provide No-Objection Certificate (NOC) in case he/ she is working as Government Officer/ Official, Armed forces Officer/  or employee of an employee of Semi Government/ Autonomous Bodies/ Corporation. The NOC is subject to confirmation/ verification by the department concerned.
  • Color scanned copies of existing Passport (The first two pages and one random page asked by the system).
  • Color scanned copy of Valid Visa/ Aqama/ Residence Permit/  Asylum card/ Other Nationality Passport.

Note:

The online portal is only for the renewal of Machine Readable Passport. The following categories of passports cannot be applied through Online Portal.

  • Issuance of Machine Readable Passport first time.
  • In case applicants want any changes in existing Machine Readable Passport i.e. name, father name, husband name, date of birth, caste, profession, dual nationality, marital status, religion, and official to ordinary.
  • In case the applicant wants a new passport all pages of the previous passport are utilized due to several visas/ frequent traveling.
  • In case the applicant’s existing passport has been lost (misplaced and not in his possession) and he wants a new passport.
